Packing your artwork

Good packaging will allow buyers to be aware of your attention to your transactions. It is also a reliable way to deliver an object safely, because a well packed object runs fewer risks of being damaged during transport.

Here are some things to keep in mind when packaging your items for shipping:

  • Choose a box that's slightly larger than the item you're sending so you can cushion the item with packing material on all sides.

  • Pack the item with bubble wrap, peanuts, foam, or paper so there's no room for your item to shift.

  • Use reinforced packing tape. Tape the opening of the box and reinforce all seams.

  • Properly label the package and include a return address. If you’re reusing a box, cover any previous labels or cross out any previous address information.

Track your delivery and inform your buyer

Send an email to your buyer to inform him that his object has been sent.

You can specifyit:

  • the address that you used for sending;
  • the mailing date and the estimated time for delivery;
  • the tracking number of your shipping. Depending on the shipping service, you may be able to track your item.
